Who we are
The Zollverein School of Management and Design is a business school for the creative disciplines. They faced, and connects networked management and creativity – in teaching, research, training and consulting. Thus, the training institution founded in 2003, established as the world’s leading platform for the creative economy.
Our goals
• The Zollverein School sees itself as the nucleus of a new culture of innovation. Through its programs it wants to encourage innovations that bring about sustainable change – in the economy, in science and in everyday culture.
• The Zollverein School aims to strengthen the role of creative disciplines. Creative disciplines such as design and architecture show abilities due to their emphatic close to a particular market can capture customer needs intuitively design future developments. They encourage the development and implementation of real innovation and lay the foundation for a successful corporate leadership in the 21st Century.
• The Zollverein School is to train managers who act in an entrepreneurial manner, initiate change and shape the future actively. All managers want to understand the management and design as a design task as a pioneer new markets and new worlds – the programs are aimed at the Business School itself – regardless of educational background and industry.
Our methods
• The Zollverein School makes the creative power of creativity to solve various problems and tasks available. Creative individuals have trained interpretive skills that enable them to eg, with ambivalent economic problems to deal or to open up the dialectic of diverging customer needs. Creative thinking and acting in an increasingly complex environment to the new key skills.
• The Zollverein School links and networks previously separated disciplines and perspectives. Based on the assumption that new markets will emerge only when entrenched ways of thinking and behavior patterns are broken, the programs of the Zollverein School integration methods for solving problems from different disciplines. Interfaces and reference points to other subject areas and environments be developed through the instrument of the initiated change in perspective.
